Here is an outfit that I finished up this weekend. Since this was my first time sewing this pattern there were a few un-anticipated snafus. (Most of them were not on my part.) First since really nice heirloom fabric is usually thin I will just cut two of the front pieces and eliminate the facings so that they won't show through the shirt. (It wasn't that obvious IRL, but when the camera flashed it became really noticeable.) The next modification is to cut it one size larger to accomodate for a pull up and to give him some growing room. Even though the measurements for the size that I cut out was a little larger than his measurements I still think it ran a little small for my taste. The third modification would be to lower the buttons on the shirt and lower the hem on the shirt so that it tucks in better.
I think the outfit turned out okay and I look forward to making it again with the noted changes.
TFL!
